Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his pals fool around in Hawaii in this rather poor cartoon.
Although some of the Oswald cartoons from this year are excellent, this one does not measure up to standard. I can only conclude that they rushed this one into production and skimped on the writing.
The gags are the standard transformation gags favored in this period. The rubber tube animation allows everything to stretch and squash into anything else, although here, somehow, things deform into dancing girls, including clams, big toes and ocean waves. Some brightness is offered near the end in the person of a drowning hippopotamus who is standing upright in the water, but otherwise, this one has almost nothing to offer.
