A Sega classic, Castle of Illusion, starring Mickey Mouse may be set to return, if a recent teaser is anything to go by...
Sega America has released a mysterious teaser trailer that some are saying hints at a possible re-release of the Mega Drive classic, Castle of Illusion, which starred Disney titan, Mickey Mouse.
Released in 1990 on the Mega Drive (Genesis), and in 1991 on the Game Gear, Castle of Illusion was a traditional 2D platformer that's considered to be one of the best examples of the genre. An obvious clone of Mario, it was a well-designed and presented title, and one that could return very soon...
Below you'll see the teaser trailer released by Sega, which depicts a spooky castle, a sinister queen-like figure that looks very much like one of Disney's most memorable evil doers, Maleficent, and an apple, which served as projectiles in the original game.

Memphis, Tennessee has a great musical hall of fame: Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, Johnny Cash, Bb King to name a select few. Now they can add the pop and neo-soul sensation Justin Timberlake – he has proven his talent with his career to date and now with The 20/20 Experience, he is soaring.
It’s been a long six and a half years since we last heard the vocal talents of Justin Timberlake on FutureSex/LoveSounds. After that critically acclaimed release – Jt departed from the music scene to pursue acting and other business ventures. Over the years I found myself asking ‘when is he going to come back to music?’
I saw Timberlake in concert in 2007 when he toured the globe with FutureSex/LoveSounds, and to this day even with the countless music gigs I’ve been to, I maintain that this concert (along with Prince’s Welcome...

It’s been said that there are two kinds of Nicolas Cage films. There are the short-haired, glasses-wearing Cage films where the man in question plays quirky, fun characters that are sometimes intellectually challenging, but are almost always a part of a larger, more interesting and intriguing film. And then there are the biceps a'poppin, long-haired Cage films where he chooses mindless screenplays that allow for an easy paycheck and no need to flex his Oscar-winning muscles in the slightest. The second Cage appears onscreen in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice with his stringy hair flowing freely in the breeze, I knew that even Mickey Mouse couldn’t save me from the kind of Cage film in store for me.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an hour and a half adaptation of the 10 minute classic from Disney’s 1940 masterpiece, Fantasia. In 2000, our proto-Mickey is a nebbishy guy named Dave (Jay Baruchel...

Nicolas Cage would like to see Jerry Bruckheimer's live-action take on 'Bambi' and 'Dumbo.'

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer's upcoming "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" is not your grandmother's Disney film. Based on the classic short segment from "Fantasia" featuring a wizardly Mickey Mouse, dancing broomsticks and all other forms of magic, Bruckheimer's updated "Sorcerer" brings the famous tale into the 21st century with all of the big bada-booms we've come to expect from the man responsible for "Armageddon," "Con Air" and "Pearl Harbor."
In fact, Bruckheimer's unique take on the beloved yarn has left many of the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" cast and crew wondering: If they could pick any classic Disney cartoon for Bruckheimer to put his explosive stamp on, what would it be?

Will Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice provide the requisite box office magic? We weigh up the possibilities in another summer blockbuster preview...
What Is It?
Taking its inspiration from a scene in Disney's trippy Fantasia (the famous sequence where Mickey Mouse enchants various items of furniture, itself inspired by a Goethe poem), The Sorcerer's Apprentice takes the necromantic theme of the 1940s animated original and updates it to present-day Manhattan.
Nicolas Cage stars as Balthazar Blake, a sorcerer with the uncanny ability to start a car with a Paul Daniels-like wave of his hands. Jay Baruchel co-stars as the eponymous apprentice, an average youth and self-professed "physics nerd" whom Cage trains in the dark arts to help protect the city from arch nemesis Horvath (played by Alfred Molina, who provided Disney's other summer blockbuster Prince Of Persia with some of its better moments).

From star vehicles to reboots, auteurs to anonymous actors, the competition for our summer moviegoing dollars is on.

Summertime, and the living is ... queasy? It certainly is if you're a studio executive with hundreds of millions of dollars riding on the hope that somebody out there wants to see your movie.
Every year, studio suits adhere to certain recipes for perceived summer success. With that in mind and the year's most-contested season upon us, here are the five ingredients that seem to be making up the 2010 crop of hopeful summer hits:
Give it a "name": When it comes to getting a greenlight in Hollywood today, it's all about the name. If people remember the "Sex and the City" TV show, there's a built-in audience for the movie (May 27). "Marmaduke" (June 4) may be a bit on the obscure side for most children today,...

The Basketball Diaries - Blu-ray Review
I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t believe it but this is without question the best film Leonardo DiCaprio has ever done.
A story about the young life of Jim Carroll, the film is an abrasive, dark, evocative portrait that showcases DiCaprio as an actor that seamlessly blends into the background of a story that is nothing short of compelling. Now in Blu-ray this is a wonderful chance to revisit a movie that helped Leo be known as an actor to contend with but, I think, the real joy in re-watching this movie is its dealing with drug culture that wasn’t proselytizing in nature but exposed it for what it was.

Hold on to your hats folks, because the international trailer for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice has just arrived and it’s one hell of a ride! Starring Nicholas Cage (who dare I say it – looks to be on top form?), Jay Baruchel and Alfred Molina, it’s hard to imagine that Disney’s latest action adventure is based on the Mickey Mouse skit featured in Fantasia all those years ago.
The new trailer features a bucket-load of previously unseen footage and dialogue not seen in the domestic Us trailer, so it’s well worth a watch. It’s also well worth watching out for as this could be the unexpected hit of the Summer! Check out the new trailer below and by all means share your thoughts!

One of the biggest stories in several years took center stage this week, with Disney coming out of left field to buy Marvel Entertainment. We won't see the full impact of the move for some time, because Marvel has three years of contracts with other studios to get through first. But the question is valid: Why not Paramount? How'd they let Marvel just get away from them?
Not to be outdone, Fox announced that its current deal with Marvel will see one more attempt at a Fantastic Four movie, and now there's talk that Paramount might put Iron Man 2 in 3-D next summer. So, while the other studios took Marvel's business for granted, they're not taking it lying down. At least not after the fact.
Here are this week's big headlines:
