According to the October 20, 1933 issue of Bordeaux Ciné, actress Marie Glory twisted her right ankle during shooting and had to stay in bed for several days.
The liner in the film is actually the San Antonio of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. It was brought into service in October 1930 on the lines of the North Pacific. On December 21, 1942, it was seized by the Germans and sunk by an American plane off Trapani, in Sicily on May 5, 1943.
