After filming ended, production was interrupted and the negative remained unedited for 56 years.
'Carne de fieras' was filmed in Madrid in the summer of 1936, at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. That is the reason why anarchist militiamen appear in the scenes shot in the middle of the street.
As the original script was not found, the 1992 version was made following the instructions on the clapperboards and some rushes preserved.
