Avenging angels (with horns) can't be trumped.

Warning: Spoilers
This cheap political exploitation film starts through the ambitions of a bunch of twittering buffoons creating a new political party to cause disaray among basically decent people and turn them into racist rebels where everyone involved blames their problems on all foreign influence which means anybody they deem as a threat to their power. They go from a small group of fat cats (especially the not too bright attorney Harry Holman) to gullible young men and soon they're running around causing trouble through violence wearing black robes. It's obvious who they're trying to expose here, but it could also be representitive of what was happening at the time in Germany.

Noel Madison plays the head bigot, changing his name from its Italian heritage to something more American sounding, pushing Holman into the governor's seat which expands their power and gets D.A. Arthur Singley out to stop them in their tracks. Norma Trelvar, as Holman's daughter, is initially blind to her father's ways, but as things are revealed, she begins to open her eyes.

The way this is set up is rather weak as the rise in power of the "avenging angels" seems to happen overnight. The performances aren't all convincing, and the use of too many montages and newspaper headlines one after another just covers the surface which doesn't give any real insight into the real issues going on. Had they worked on the script a little harder and scratched beyond the top of the tile, they really could have come up with something that stood the test of time than just a bunch of cliched bullies pushing their way into power and taken down in a predictable manner.
