Only in the movies can a man bother a woman eating alone in a restaurant, and end up saving her life.

This 20th Century Fox programmer was directed by none other than 1930's movie lothario Ricardo Cortez, casting Preston Foster in a role that he easily could have played. Foster is a new photographer who pesters Lynn Bari in a cafe in Algiers and ends up hiding her when the police invade.

It turns out that she's involved in an Arab rebellion, and her presence leads Foster and his comical sidekick Wally Vernon to the Revelation that a presumedly deceased Arab millionaire (Henry Wilcoxon) has faked his death. Foster wants to get Bari back to France so he can reveal the scoop of the year. Lots of danger and intrigue and follows as well as several verbal altercations between Bari and servant girl Joan Woodbury.

A passable programmer made during the time when uncertainty was ruling the world and various nations had uncertain futures. The mix of comedy, action and romance aides this rather short B picture (just under an hour) that will keep the viewer entertained with its witty dialogue and mysterious intrigue. The best of moments are the confrontations between Bari and Woodbury whose character has no qualms about taking the seemingly tougher Bari down. Exotic if not all together believable fun.
