Storyline
Plot Summary |
The state government plans to build a flood-control dam and condemns the property of the local farmers and ranchers, including The Three Mesquiteers. The state intends to compensate the land-owners fairly, but a crooked real-estate promoter complicates things. The ranchers, led by Stony Brooke ('John Wayne' (q)), Tucson Smith ('Ray Corrigan') and Rusty Joslin (Raymond Hatton) fight back against both the law and the crooks.

Goofs | Despite the fact that the story is supposed to be taking place around 1914, the women wear mostly 1939 fashions and hairstyles throughout, except at the New Hope Valley 50th Anniversary Dance, where they are all in period costume. Meantime everyone uses buckboards and horse drawn buggies for transportation, and there is not an automobile in sight, even though they were in common use by this time. See more » |
