When Bill Mason, leader of a wagon-train, is killed by bandits, Steve Rideen heeds the please of Mason's daughter, Madge, and agrees to rake charge of the wagons heading for Tucson with $60,000 worth of merchandise. Later, the wagons are attacked by a band on Indians but they are driven off. Steve discovers that Seth McBride has paid the Indians to attack the wagons in order to get the cargo for himself. Days later, Steve rescues a Pima Indian, Chief Ochella, from four Apaches, and the grateful chief offers to have his tribesmen escort the wagons through dangerous Indian country. But McBride ambushes and kills Chief Ochella,and the Pima tribe is preparing for an attack. Steve's friend, "Lucky" Bann rides to notify famed frontier-scout Kit Carson of the impending attack.
