Storyline
Plot Summary |
Private investigator Bradford Galt has moved to New York from San Fransisco after serving a jail term on account of his lawyer partner Tony Jardine. When he finds someone is tailing - and possibly trying to kill him, Galt believes Jardine is behind it. As he finds there is rather more to it, he is increasingly glad to have his attractive new secretary Kathleen around, for several reason. Written by Jeremy Perkins {J-26} |

Did You Know?
Trivia | In later years, Lucille Ball was vocal about hating the experience of shooting "The Dark Corner". The lion's share of her resentment was pointed at director Henry Hathaway, whose bullying reduced Ball to stuttering on set, at which point Hathaway accused her of being inebriated. See more » |
Goofs | When private investigator Bradford Galt strong-arms Fred Foss to reveal his home phone number, Foss replies, "CHelsea 4-43510." In the Manhattan phone book for 1946, they only had the CHelsea 2 and CHelsea 3 exchanges. This may be an early version of the 555 prefix which is the convention for fictional phone numbers. Quotes |
Kathleen:
You should have William Powell for a secretary. Bradford Galt: William Powell... who's he? Kathleen: Don't ya ever go to the movies? He's a detective, in "The Thin Man." See more » |
