The title is a play on the telephone line message "The line is busy", similar to the earlier cartoon Hold the Lion, Please (1942).
This is the only cartoon to pair the two dimwit characters Beaky Buzzard and Leo Lion. Here, however, Leo is shown to be dumber than Beaky.
Bugs Bunny makes a cameo as a background character with other jungle animals in the beginning; in this case his head has been superimposed on a small gray rabbit's body.
The book the Buzzard gives the lion is titled, "Dr. Kidney's Report on the Lion," a sly nod to the 1948 "Kinsey Report" on human sexuality.
