  • In the opening scene, a man is shot in the chest twice while pleading not to be killed. At the morgue, a man beaten to death is slightly described but not shown. Near the end, a gun murder occurs off screen but a gunshot is heard.

  • In typical 40's Noir fashion, nearly every other character smokes cigarettes throughout.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is about a woman discovering her husband was not the man she thought he was. He flees upon witnessing a murder and she is made a target by the perpetrators without knowing of her danger. The last few minutes are very tense.
