Storyline
Plot Summary |
An elderly bee, seeing an equally elderly Donald Duck in the park, looks back on their long partnership. The bee started helping Donald pick up trash, then using his sharp stinger to increase sales for balloon vendor Donald, then as a tattoo artist, and finally doing embroidery. After a particularly demanding tapestry, the bee asks for time off, and Donald shows him to a custom-built greenhouse. In there, along with lots of lovely flowers, and a lady bee. This obviously causes some problems in the relationship with Donald.

In real life however, the female bee would get very aggressive and attack someone threatening them. The girl bee would not be helpless and would've likely retaliate against Donald Duck and sting him before Spike the Bee would get to sting him as well. In the end of the cartoon the bees wife is angry at him which would be enough for her to go sting someone. See more » |

Donald Duck: [as an old man] Hey, Spike! I've been looking all over for you. Spike: Oh, no, you don't. Not me. Uh-uh. I'm not going back with... Spike's wife: [shouts and throws kitchen object at him] SPIKE! Get in here! You no-good, worthless bug! What do you mean loafing about here all day with your no-good friend? I cook and slave all day while you sit in that rocking chair! I've had about enough with... Spike: [as she continues ranting, runs to Donald] Well, what are you waiting for? Come on! Let's get going! Donald Duck: Okay! Let's go! [Donald and Spike run off as Donald laughs] See more » |
