I saw this movie as a kid in the early 70s, and don't remember much about it except for a really scary scene. It's when this kid is going up a hillside, and this man with his face concealed by a cowboy hat is following him. The kid thinks he's safe but then the pursuer reveals his face, from under the hat, and it's the killer!
I forget the plot that led up to this moment, but it was pure horror, perfectly timed for screams from the audience. I remember thinking how cool this was, in a 1950s cowboy flick.
