Football Headliners (1955)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
RKO/Pathe short is, as the title pretty much states, a highlight reel of various football games from that years NCAA field. We get highlights from the following games: Georgia Tech/Miami, Maryland/UCLA, TCU/Alabama, Oklahoma/Texas, Michigan St./Notre Dame, Auburn/Georgia Tech, Maryland/Syracuse, Notre Dame/Navy, Ohio St./Wisconsin, Pitt/West Virginia, Princeton/Yale and finally Ohio St/Michigan. There isn't any real "directorial" touches here as the clips are just played in order, with rather bland narration and not much else. If you're a fan of older football then you'll certainly getting a kick out of seeing how the games were being played back then.
