One of the last-released "pre-shutdown" Looney Tunes cartoons; that is, cartoons which were completed before Warner Bros. shut down its cartoon department for six months in June 1953. Evidence for this is Manuel Perez listed as an animator, who was laid off by the shutdown and didn't return to Warner Bros. when they re-opened in January 1954.

When one of the gophers says, 'Idea coming up!' he then strikes a pose reminiscent of Rodan's statue 'The Thinker'.
Gophers, a cousin to their fellow rodents, the squirrel, actually don't live in tree hollows, but rather in underground burrows. Their diet consists of roots, vegetables and other moist plants, but generally, not nuts or acorns. Still a cute story line, though.
