The title is French gangster slang for "raid on the drugs," meaning a police raid on the drug trade.

He spend some time in juvenile camp, really hard places at the time. Linked to the milieu (ganster world), he fights during ww2 and was rewarded with the croix de guerre (War Cross, french medal for fighting bravery).
