On the news that all 8 live-action “Spider-Man” features will return to theaters April, 15, 2024, take a look at Marvel Comics’ “Gang War", created by Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr., as ‘Spider-Man’ and local superheroes deal with a gang war between different ‘families’ after ‘Tombstone’ is shot:
“‘Super-crime’ is running rampant and ‘Spider-Man’ can't solve just one problem at a time. So he builds a team to take down all the ‘super-criminals’ of NYC in 48 hours. Good luck, Spidey.
“On the day when the daughter of ‘Tombstone', ‘Janice Lincoln’ was going to marry ‘Randy Robertson’, attended by ‘Peter Parker’, ‘Aunt May’, ‘Martha Robertson’ and crime lords ‘Hammerhead’, ‘Mister Negative’, ‘Crime Master’, ‘Diamondback’, ‘Madame Masque’, ‘Black Mariah’ and ‘Owl’, ‘Shotgun’ crashes the wedding on his motorcycle and shoots Tombstone…

Warning: contains plot spoilers for Shetland series eight, episode two.
The Shetland islands only have a population of 22,000 – roughly a tenth of the number of people who go to Glastonbury Festival – so up there, you can expect to run into the same faces time and again. It’s no different for Scottish actors on TV. There are only a finite number, and in a long-running series like BBC One’s Shetland, sometimes cast-members get recycled from one role to another.
That’s what happened with Ann Louise Ross, the actor who plays farmer and widower Agnes Moffat in Shetland series eight. We first met Agnes in episode one, when (temporary Di) Tosh is investigating a series of livestock murders. Several of Agnes’ sheep have been found with their throats cut and daubed in their blood with a mysterious symbol.
In episode two, that same symbol is also found tattooed on...

Soccer Mommy has dropped an EP full of covers called Karaoke Night, featuring her unique take on songs by Taylor Swift, Pavement, Slowdive, and more. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
Along with Sophie Allison’s excellent reimaginings of Sheryl Crow’s “Soak Up the Sun” and Swift’s “I’m Only Me When I’m with You,” the five-track Karaoke Night includes her renditions of “Here” by Pavement, “Losing My Religion” by R.E.M., and “Dagger” by Slowdive. Nothing surprising here — if you’re at all familiar with Soccer Mommy’s catalog, you can hear how all five artists have influenced her music, from bubbly pop to scrappy indie rock.
“I’m Only Me When I’m with You” originally appeared as a bonus track on Swift’s 2006 self-titled debut album. Soccer Mommy’s version swaps out the fiddle solos for a screeching, Bilinda Butcher-style electric guitar riff,...

Do you remember what you were doing the evening of May 16, 1983? Well, you may have been one of the 47 million people tuned into NBC’s landmark special “Motown 25: Yesterday, Today and Forever.”
It was the star-studded celebration hosted by Emmy nominee Richard Pryor which saw Michael Jackson reuniting with his brothers for a medley of their Jackson 5 hits including “I Want You Back,” “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There.”
But it was Jackson’s solo performance of his blockbuster No. 1 hit “Billie Jean” from his breakthrough album “Thriller” which galvanized the audience. It was an electrifying turn where he introduced the fedora, black sequin jacket and glove and his momentous moonwalk routine during the bridge of the song, all of which became his trademarks when performing “Billie Jean.” The New York Times described the routine as “astonishing. An alchemical catastrophe ravaged the countryside decades ago, unleashing horrors beyond comprehension upon a cursed corner of 18th-century England. The Crown has quarantined the area, known as Vale of Deluth, but as a Hunter, you are allowed entry to help drive back the monstrous beasts that lurk within. This is the world of Teeth, a new tabletop RPG from Jim Rossignol and Marsh Davies that just hit Kickstarter. In order to get a better sense of their new game of occult criminality and monster hunting, we had a chat with them about their history and inspirations.
Both Rossignol and Davies worked in the video game industry prior to working on Teeth. Rossignol was a founder of Rock Paper Shotgun and developed games such as Sir You Are Being Hunted and The Signal From Tolva. Spoilers for "Better Call Saul" follow.
In prequels, foregone conclusions are, well, foregone. The writers crafting the stories and the audiences watching them know ahead of time that the characters have to end in the spot where we first met them in the original story. Likewise, newly introduced characters who weren't in the original have to be taken off the board — sometimes lethally.
"Better Call Saul" acknowledges this from the beginning. The very first scene of the series actually takes place after "Breaking Bad" — former criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is in hiding, living as Omaha Cinnabon manager Gene Takovic. As I've written before, the show comes with the built-in tragedy that "Slippin' Jimmy" McGill, a plucky lawyer trying to go straight, will one day become the consigliere of Walter "Heisenberg" White (Bryan Cranston).
There are five major characters in "Better Call Saul" who were nowhere to be seen...

Bryan Cranston may be best known to fans as a meth/PopCorners kingpin. Still, he is now expressing interest in playing one of the greatest marijuana proponents ever, Willie Nelson.
When asked by NME if there was a musician he would like to play, Bryan Cranston said, “Willie Nelson comes to mind. The hair and the beard. I think there’s some physical resemblance. He’s very old and wrinkled, and I can relate to that…So I wouldn’t have to wear a lot of makeup.” Surely the 66-year-old Cranston looks a little better than the 89-year-old Nelson!
Bryan Cranston added there is a lot to admire about Shotgun Willie, although the actor doesn’t exactly share every defining trait with the singer. “Willie’s had a fascinating career—as a writer and as a performer, and as a free speech person, being anti-war and on the forefront of...

Spoiler Alert! This piece contains Major spoilers for the film “Shotgun Wedding,” so turn back now if you haven’t watched it yet!
Just as the premise of “Shotgun Wedding” fuses romantic comedy and action, the ending also combines those two elements, but not without some twists and turns.
“There are a couple [twists] towards the end that I know actually surprised the audience,” director Jason Moore told TheWrap in an interview. “In our test screenings we actually asked, ‘Did you see this coming?’ and 95 of the people said no, so it’s fun to have a movie that has a couple of secrets inside of it.”
Starring Jennifer Lopez as bride Darcy Rivera and Josh Duhamel as groomzilla Tom Fowler, the film unfolds as the engaged couple welcomes their extended family and friends to the Philippines for their destination wedding. Pirates interrupt what could have been a typical ceremony, bringing stunts,...

Josh Duhamel‘s rehearsal dinner antics almost proved to be a real problem on his wedding day. The 49-year-old actor tied the knot with Audra Mari in North Dakota earlier this month, but came very close to not making it down the aisle.
On Tuesday during his appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden”, he spoke about the disastrous night before his wedding to the 28-year-old beauty pageant titleholder in which they hired a party bus to take them around after the rehearsal dinner.
“So I think I’m going to hang from the rafters inside this party bus and start crowd surfing atop it, and I throw my back out,” Duhamel shared. “I thought I was fine, I wake up the next morning and I literally can’t get up out of bed.”

Soccer Mommy’s latest album Sometimes, Forever got a bit of an overhaul with the singer-songwriter sharing two new versions of “Shotgun.” One version is slowed and reverbed — sorta like chopped and screwed, but not exactly — while the other comes courtesy of Magdalena Bay, who remixed the record with dizzying distortions and shimmering synths.
“Shotgun” served as the lead single to Sometimes, Forever, introducing the Oneohtrix Point Never-produced album with a sweet sentiment about “all about the joys of losing yourself in love.” At the time of its release, Soccer...

Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris and the 1975 were big winners at Wednesday night’s Brit Awards, taking home the Best British Single (for Harris and Lipa’s “One Kiss”), Album of the Year (for The 1975’s “Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships”) as well as Best British Group (the 1975).
While the show, livestreamed from London’s O2 Arena, features plenty of non-English talent, the Brits are basically the U.K.’s version of the Grammys, where Little Mix, the 1975, George Ezra and Tom Walker are superstars and Jay and Beyonce and Drake and Ariana are relegated to the “international” categories.
