Storyline
Plot Summary |
Charming tale of mountaineer-trapper Yancey's (Audie Murphy) first taste "big city" life with young, sweet Rosalie (Sandra Dee) in tow. She flees her family, which tried to trade her for some of Yancey's beaver pelts, and tags along with the reluctant Yancey. They get into all manner of trouble in town, and Yancey has to shoot Sheriff Bartell (Gilbert Roland) to rescue Rosalie from her job as a dance-hall girl.

Goofs | When Mr Forbes (Jim Backus) runs out of the General Store to join the parade, he is carrying a valve trombone (which would be in keeping with the type of trombone mostly used in the late 19th century). Later at the band concert, he is playing a slide trombone with no explanation for the switch. See more » |
