Marc is the composer of the song "Raviante" which is the nickname that everyone gives to his charming and faithful wife, Evelyne. Maurice, the editor of Marc's songs, his best friend, is madly in love with Evelyne although he is fortunate to have a pretty, tender and self-effacing woman. In Marc's absence, Maurice goes out with his friend's wife, but his assiduous advances are disdainfully rejected.
