Even though this was filmed in the United States and the cast spoke English, all the dialog was dubbed by Titra Studios, the same company that was responsible for dubbing many of the Godzilla films as well as Speed Racer (1967).
Passed by the British Board of Film Censors with an "A" certificate (suitable for children if accompanied by an adult) on 22 August 1962. The UK distributors Compton-Cameo previewed the film at their own cinema, the Compton in Old Compton Street, on 1 October 1962 (10:30 am for press and trade only). The London premiere was at the Cameo-Royal, Charing Cross Road on 11 October 1962 where it ran six-and-a-half weeks, sharing the bill with Kuu on vaarallinen (1961). Although not generally released on the major circuits, both films were booked by a large number of cinemas nationwide.
