Hilarious Mario Moreno Cantinflas vehicle in which he causes disorder , disaster and chaos in shootings
ma-cortes26 March 2021
Here Cantinflas is a gaffe extra in a lot of of shootings , there he meets a young woman who wants to become an actress , but things go wrong . By a twist of fate , the clumsy , but well-meaning botcher handy man and unfortunate extra meets an aspiring actress : Alma Delia Fuentes who at the same time is caring her youngest orphan brothers . After utterly ruining the sets of various films such as : a French Revolution movie , Margarita Gautier , a Western movie and another picture about Aztec Indians , Cantinflas will do whatever things to get a role for the beautiful aspiring actress . What delightful disaster await ? .

This release is an agreeable comedy with the great Cantinflas as an inept and bungler extra. Here Cantinflas is a bumbling extra and a botcher Jack of all trades . He has a role similar to Peter Sellers in the subsequent Blake Edwards' The Party 1968 , concerning a Gaffe who causes destruction , mayhem and usually interrupting the filmings. This sympathetic actor Cantinflas became a world-wide institution . Directed by his ordinary filmmaker Miguel Maria Delgado who had knowledge enough of the mechanics of cinema , getting entrartainment and amusement . Cantinflas had a poor and simple origin , in his beginnings playing on the small stages , and later on , acting in Mexican cinema to the bright lights of Hollywood . He appeared just over 50 movies. In 1937 he made his first feature : Así es mi Tierra . He scored his first big hit with : Ahí esta el detalle or There is the detail . His second major movie was : Neither Blood Nor Sand or Ni Sangre ni Arena . Following a lot of successes as El Gendarme Deconocido, Cantinflas and the three Musketeers , The Magician or El Mago, El Supersabio, Un Día con el Diablo , El Extra , El Padrecito, El Analfabeto, El Bolero de Raquel , Su Excelencia , and his last feature : El Patrullero . And of his Hollywood stay with Pepe and especially the blockbuster Around the World in 80 days produced by Michael Todd and directed by Michael Anderson with a great star-studded cast . In 2014 was made a biopic directed by Sebastián del Amo with Oscar Jenada as Cantinflas and Michael Imperioli as Michael Todd .

Living in a Studio

In this film Mario Moreno plays a guy who practically lives on a movie set. He goes from set to set as an extra or observer but basically bothers the directors. In every set he is on he imagines himself as the main actor. He meets a young women who is an orphan along with her two younger brothers and is looking for an acting job. Cantinflas makes it a top priority to get her discovered. The problems he gets into are too funny to explain. The sound and color are pretty good. There are no special features. The movie was pretty funny; seeing cantinflas in Indian and cowboy outfits gives it the ninth star. Its not his best film but its almost there.
