It’s hard to think of a musical that would benefit more from a Blu-ray boost than Ken Russell’s kaleidoscopic all dancing, all singing send-up of theatrical clichés on the music hall stage, circa 1925. We’re just happy that the adorable Twiggy got to be put in a film like this, to be enjoyed forever. The Russell crowd is all aboard, led by Glenda Jackson and Murray Melvin. Gosh!

After Swedish House Mafia officially called it quits in 2013, the rumors of a possible reunion between dance music’s biggest trio started up pretty much immediately. Ever since then, we’ve seen plenty of speculation passed around by fans, with rumors running rampant this year of a possible 2017 reunion tour. While this kind of thing rarely pans out, a now deleted tweet from Axwell himself seems to hint that fans may finally get what they’ve been hoping for.
Axwell took to Twitter yesterday with a monumental teaser about a possible Shm reunion, stating “The countdown to a new era has begun. Never too late to get back on track.” Accompanying the message is the date of March 26, 2017 and an updated Axwell /\ Ingrosso logo with an additional “A” added to it.

With a little over a year to go until the sequel hits the local cineplex, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is hard at work filming in Atlanta. But not so hard at work that he couldn’t share a little something from the set. Comedian Steve Agee ("The Sarah Silverman Program") has reportedly scored a role in Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".
Agee has yet to be seen in any behind-the-scenes photos from the set, though the comedian is a friend of the film's director James Gunn and it's only expected to be a small role or cameo rather than a major part.
Agee's casting was revealed by Doug Benson on the Doug Loves Movies podcast (via IGN) saying: "[Steve] just found out because he's in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he has to shoot that bulls--t instead of being here with us today."
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is currently prepping ahead of actual shooting next week and a May 2017 release. Chris Pratt has posted a photo of a much beloved prop from the film, along with a great personal message. Check that out below:

Holy hell, you guys! This is it! This signifies that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is really underway. Posted on his Instagram, Chris Pratt is holding in his hand Star-Lord's beloved Walkman, and inside is Awesome Mix Vol. 2! I loved the first movie, and the soundtrack truly was a character in and of itself. So I cannot wait to hear what's on this tape. I'm sure it'll set the pace, mood, and even story with inspired choices from James Gunn. Anything you're hoping for? I'll just throw this out there: David Bowie's, "Heroes".
Feels good to be back in action on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am. Ok I'll try. I'm ecstatic. I'm bursting with joy. I'm overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, conviviality, camaraderie, elation, exhilaration. I just used an online thesaurus for these words. I suggest trying that.

Chris Pratt is an American treasure if I do say so myself. The guy first made a splash in such a big pond by playing Andy Dwyer on NBC's Parks And Rec, and then got the Marvel bug which caused him to play Peter Quill aka "Star-Lord" in Guardians Of The Galaxy. Now, to show just how appreciative he is of all the success he's been having lately, Pratt posted on Instagram a first look at 'Awesome Mix Vol. 2' along with a ramble about how the pen is mightier than the sword and hyperbole or something.
Anyways, it's just another example of how cool Pratt is, how awesome it is that he's working with Marvel to pump out well made films, and that production for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 has really kicked into overdrive (I almost forgot to mention that).

Hopefully we'll see more soon. That way instead of saying "I'm very excited" say, "I'm exhilarated." Never too late to learn words. The pen is mightier than the sword. I never got that. I could whoop someone's ass if I had a sword and they only had a pen.

In August 2014, director James Gunn and Marvel Studios successfully blew our minds by introducing us to the Guardians of the Galaxy. In 2017, the same ragtag bunch of scoundrels will be back on the big screen, and to say that star Chris Pratt is excited would be very much an understatement. From ampersands to The Apprentice, from dinner ladies to Dirty Den, here's a selection of nerdy in-jokes from Doctor Who series 2...
Last month we took a look at Doctor Who Series One as it celebrated its 10th Anniversary. Specifically, we delved deep into the murky world of in-jokes and sweet nerdy references.
Let’s take another trip back in time and have a look at the more notable and interesting references and in-jokes from Doctor Who Series Two, starring David Tennant and Billie Piper, where the credit of “Doctor Who” had been changed back to “The Doctor”. Pfft, party poopers.
New Earth
Old-skool fans would have been forgiven for being excited at the prospect, given that “New Earth” was a planet mentioned in the 1974 classic Invasion Of The Dinosaurs (though it didn’t actually exist in that story, it was a fake world). But all fans could get excited at...

With a small body of work including his low-budgeted directorial debut (Never Too Late) which orbited around the Fribourg and Edinburgh Film Festivals and garnered some buzz (insider industry type), the Israeli-born/NYC-based/Tisch grad helmer Ido Fluk managed to lasso one of the hot ticket actors of this past Sundance edition in The Guest star, Dan Stevens. Fluk’s sophomore feature gig also includes Malin Akerman, Kerry Bishé, and Oliver Platt (who we should add, is about to have an incredible 2015). Fluk co-wrote The Confines (another presumed 2015 title) and began filming on The Ticket this past August in upstate New York. So technically they’ll have had to package a rough cut if submitted the film to Sundance, and worth noting is two key ingredients: filmmaker Oren Moverman, is the film’s producer and on the tech side, we find camera work of Zachary Galler, who showed his skillset...

Amber Portwood, star of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom, has written a tell-all memoir describing her painful past of depression and addiction that eventually lead to a highly publicized year in prison.
In Never Too Late, released in August and written with Beth Roeser, Portwood writes about her turbulent childhood – the book opens with the death of her younger sister, Candace, who died of Sids before she was one month old – and details her time in jail.
Amber Portwood Opens Up About Jail, Suicide
In 2012, Portwood made headlines when she decided to go to prison instead of a rehab facility, this after she was caught on tape hitting her ex, and the father of her child, Gary Shirley, while taping Teen Mom. Portwood’s struggle with addiction had already been documented on the MTV reality series, and in Never Too Late, the young mother describes hitting rock bottom as Teen Mom came to an end.

Kylie Minogue has been a grinning, gyrating, ever-classy princess of pop since she began her career as a recording artist in 1987. She’s always been more of a Madonna-level superstar overseas, but those of us in the U.S. who’ve collected her singles, albums, remixes, and movies (I’m still processing Holy Motors, by the way) know her dance floor majesty is as admirable as her effortless maturity. She is — and this is a word I use sparingly to maintain its prestige — fabulous.
Today is Ms. Minogue’s 45th birthday, and since last year we toasted her birth with a decadent countdown, here comes another: We’re ranking Kylie’s 50 best songs. Ready to step back in time?
We’ve limited our selections to album releases because there are literally dozens of available Kylie B-sides. I’ll suggest that my favorite Kylie non-release is the X cut “I...

It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since Kylie Minogue first chuga-chuga-ed onto the music scene with her cover of the '60s hit "The Loco-Motion." Since then, the Australian singer has become one of the most beloved and successful pop stars in the world and she's showing no signs of slowing down.
In 2012 alone she's gone on tour, released two greatest hits albums, one of which, "The Abbey Road Sessions," was recorded with a full orchestra, and starred in two films, the lesbian indie "Jack and Diane" and "Holy Motors," which premiered at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. Tonight she'll perform on "Dancing With The Stars" and up next is a new album, more movie projects and a new book documenting her fashion over the last 25 years.
We caught up with the insanely busy Minogue to chat about songs she wish she'd never recorded, songs she wishes she'd shown a little more love,...

There’s nothing left to be said in terms of pop music when it comes to Kylie Minogue. Here is a woman who has reinvented herself many times over her the length of her extensive career. She has managed not to only survive, but also succeed in an industry that has seen lots of female artists come and go over the years. Kylie prevailed, her music always one step ahead, her personality as a pop star always touched with a grace that set her apart from the rest.
And it seems like Kylie thought 2012 to be the year to pay homage to her own career. She first released ‘The Best Of Kylie Minogue’ back in June, a plain Greatest Hits compilation that was given to us hand in hand with a new single, titled ‘Timebomb’. "Veronica Mars" is back on TV thanks to SOAPnet and you really should watch it. The cult-hit Upn/CW series is airing in syndication for the first time ever -- ever! -- and it's just as magical the second time around. (Or fifth or sixth, if you're me.)
