Diptyque (1967)

I'm not going to sit here and say that I know what this Walerian Borowczyk short was about but it did keep me entertained. The first is actually eight-minutes long and is broken into two panels. The first panel introduces us to a 100-year-old bachelor who is also a farmer. We hear him talk about a few things as we watch him going about his daily chores to keep his small farm going. The second panel switches to color as we see some plants and flowers (as well as a cat) as we listen to music. DIPTYQUE isn't the greatest film ever made but it's at least an entertaining one and I thought for the most part that it was unique to say the least. The first portion is certainly very interesting just watching someone that old continue to do what they've done their entire lives. I'm really not sure what the second part has to do with anything but it's all quite pleasant and entertaining.
