Sex & Nudity

  • A male character explains how in Japan, men are superior to the women. The other character makes a comment about retiring in Japan for that reason.
  • Sumo wrestler's pubic hair is very briefly seen.
  • In the opening scene, Bond is shown in bed with a woman who is apparently wearing nothing. We see her bared shoulders and upper back, and then as she turns to face the camera, she pulls the sheet up over her breasts.
  • The opening title sequence features silhouettes of women who are apparently nude, evidenced by a lack of any irregularities in the smooth body contours that would be caused by clothing, as well as by their visibly erect nipples.
  • In a sumo wrestling scene, the competitors wear traditional sumo costume, being only a band of cloth around the crotch and waist.
  • Two men bathe in a communal Japanese bathing room, attended by two women each. The women are wearing bikinis, and they strip their clients on camera, visible from the waist up. In subsequent scenes, we see the men's bared torsos clearly. In a shot of the baths from above, we see their bared legs and flanks; the men are clearly completely naked, though posing hides genitalia and buttocks.
  • A man kisses and caresses a women, then slices the straps off the woman's dress and unzips it, exposing her bared back.
  • A man, posing as a woman's new husband, attempts to talk her into having sex with him for appearance's sake.
  • The supporting lead actress spends the last third of the movie mostly wearing a bikini and shoes, while the men in these scenes are fully clothed. However, during the large fight scene, she has a poncho/wrap to cover herself.

Violence & Gore

  • Bond engages in a lengthy fight with a large sumo wrestler in a hotel room. Bond punches him several times, but he throws Bond through a thin wall, and the two then fight each other with many different objects around the room. Bond eventually knocks him out with a vase, and the man sprawls on the floor.
  • Many ninjas are seen training, fighting either hand-to-hand, with swords, or practicing throwing stars.
  • Bond trains with several ninjas, and one ninja is an assassin in disguise and tries to kill him, but Bond stabs him.
  • There is a long chase at a dock where Bond shoots several men, and fights others before being knocked out.
  • There's a car chase in which bad guys shoot at Bond and the car he is in. Bond's allows arrive on a helicopter with a large magnet, and they pick the car up and drop it into a body of water.
  • Bond shoots a man in a control room with his cigar gun, and fights off several guards.
  • Bond and several prisoners fight a group of guards in a cell.
  • A helicopter shoots at a woman swimming, and she dives underwater.
  • A woman falls into a piranha pit when the floor she is in falls out from under her. Nothing graphic at all is seen, and this is only implied.
  • A man is stabbed in the back; he dies.
  • There is a lengthy dogfight scene between Bond and enemy helicopters. Bond incinerates one helicopter and shoots missiles into others.
  • Bond struggles with and stabs an attacker with a knife in a yard.

Profanity

  • 3 uses of "hell" and 1 use of "damn."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • It is said Bond smokes, but we only see this once. A Japanese thug smokes a cigar. One of the gadgets is disguised in a cigarette.
  • Just a couple of scenes in which Bond drinks vodka, sake and champagne, sometimes with other characters (Tanaka, Osato). The Siamese one he stole from Osatos mini-bar even disgusts him.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Bond fakes his death at the beginning, which may startle some viewers.
