John Berry has sunk very low.....
dbdumonteil6 June 2006
Johnny Hallyday,a French famous pop star was certainly overjoyed when he learned he had an American director for his turkey! But for John Berry who had directed John Garfield in his sensational "He ran all the way" ,it was an all time low.

Everything in this movie tries to sound "American" .From the -mediocre - songs that Johnny bellows out (the title track "A tout casser" ) to the motorbikes and the gang a la "the wild ones".Supporting cast includes Simone Signoret's daughter Catherine Allégret as Johnny 's girlfriend and Michel Serrault which has an original way of using vegetables.

Strictly for Hallyday's fans.

Johnny Hallyday's "Elvis" movie !
RealLiveClaude30 March 2020
Though Elvis Presley's movie weren't great, Johnny Hallyday wanted to do a similar one with known tough actor Eddie Constantine and Michel Serreault (whose "ticks" with veggies remind you of what he would be capable of in "La Cage aux Folles") in this "gangsters vs. younglings" movie, which pass, but only for entertainment values.

The Plot ? Young bikers (with Frankie in head) are trying to open a club next to an established one run by gangster Moretti and his henchmen. Arrive a mysterious man with whom the gangster has a debt and at the same time trying to help the kids. However, Moretti has a plan for a big score and will do anything to make ends meet for him. However, he might have opposition on his path...

Okay movie, some funny moments, but rather one you would like to listen one time, especially if you are a "Johnny" fan (in France, the late Johnny had an impressive legion of fans !) and would like to see him on his motorbike, putting sexy costumes and sing a couple of songs...

Anyway, see it for the fun, not the serious way...
