This is the last cartoon to feature Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales, who are also the last of the classic Looney Tunes characters to be featured.
This cartoon features a newly-recorded version of the Looney Tunes theme (the 1960s version of "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down") that was used on this short and 3 Ring Wing-Ding (1968). The closing theme was left unchanged.
Daffy says Speedy's full name in this episode.
Emperor Nero, and his fiddle, are depicted in the year 65 A.D., which is accurate. Nero died in A.D. 68.
Time travel had once again become a popular topic for productions of the era, given the space race being in full swing. Several new TV shows explored the concept, such as It's About Time (1966) and The Time Tunnel (1966). Fellow animation studio HB brought The Flintstones (1960) into the future, as well as their space age counterparts, The Jetsons (1962).
