- Kenny Donford: [Referring to Steve] If I were a girl, I would let the measles in my apartment before I let him in.
- Mary Ann: Who was he?
- Steve Grayson: Oh, that was Kenny, my manager.
- Mary Ann: Oh, some manager! The minute I walked in here he grabbed me and started kissing me.
- Steve Grayson: Well, don't worry about Kenny. He's harmless.
- Mary Ann: Yes, if your six feet four and a karate expert!
- Steve Grayson: I'm gonna talk sense to you if its the last thing I ever do.
- Susan Jacks: That will be the last thing you ever do.
- Steve Grayson: If I could get near you, I'd knock some of that stubbornness outta you.
- Mary Ann: [Referring to Kenny] You mean you let him take care of your money?
- Steve Grayson: Why not? I like to live dangerously.
- Mary Ann: Does that go for girls too?
- Steve Grayson: That goes for everything?
- Mary Ann: Honey, I'm going to leave the driving to you.
- [They kiss]
- Steve Grayson: I'd like to break you in half!
- Kenny Donford: If you did, you'd have two very short friends.
- Kenny Donford: Well, a new track, a new girl. You certainly get the goodies, don't you?
- Steve Grayson: It was a chance meeting.
- Kenny Donford: Huh?
- Steve Grayson: I followed her.
- Susan Jacks: [on the phone] First place again. He's a real hot dog!
- R.W. Hepworth: Hot dog? What does that mean?
- Susan Jacks: Oh, just a little race talk I picked up.
- R.W. Hepworth: Well, you're not there to pick up - whatever it is you're picking up.
- Susan Jacks: I'm calling from their trailer.
- R.W. Hepworth: Their trailer! What if they find you there?
- Susan Jacks: I think they'd love it!
- Kenny Donford: Now, really, what you ought to do is lie down and get yourself a good rest.
- Steve Grayson: Well, I do feel a little beat.
- Steve Grayson: [singing] Oh baby, I'm gonna teach you what love's all about tonight, Trust me honey everything's gonna be all right, Just do like I do there ain't nothing to it, Listen to me baby anybody can do it, All you gotta do is just - let yourself go...
- Steve Grayson: [singing] Now don't be afraid just relax and take it real slow, Cool it baby you ain't got no place to go, Just put your arms around me real tight, Enjoy yourself baby don't fight, All you gotta do is just - let yourself go...
- Steve Grayson: [singing] Take a real deep breath and put your warm red lips on mine, Just do like I tell you, everything's gonna be just fine, Kiss me nice and easy, take your time, Baby I'm the only one here in line, All you gotta do is just let yourself go...
- Susan Jacks: [singing] Don't take up with no alley cats, They really don't know where it's at, Don't fall or trip on things, Stay away from happenings, You know I got to worry, Til you bring your groovy self on home - to me...
- Birdie Kebner: It's entertainment time here at the 'Hangout' and you all know the rules. When I hit you with the light, you gotta get up and do something. If you don't, we do something to you!
- Abel Esterlake: [after given a new car by Steve Grayson] To tell you the truth, I'm so shook up, I don't think I could drive.
- Steve Grayson: You sit here and listen to me! You're the most obstinate, stubborn, ornery, impossible girl I ever met! You just won't admit there's another side - my side! You know why? Because you're unreasonable! Sit still! You're argumentative, mulish, uncooperative - an unbelievable.
- [kiss]
- Susan Jacks: Oh, no! It could never work! We're complete opposites! You're wild, extravagant, and unreliable! And you're not the kind of man that I should fall in love with. And, besides, we don't even like each other.
- Steve Grayson: Oh?
- [kiss, then starts singing]
- Steve Grayson: Who are you? Who am I? Are we more than strangers, passing by? Is this your dream? Are you in mine? Are really here or lost in time? Will you be friend or lover? Show me the heart you conceal, Now is the time to discover, If this feeling we're feeling is real, So close to love and yet so far, Just one kiss would tell us who we are...
- Steve Grayson: [singing] When you say that's it boy, I'm finally beat, You're goin' ninety miles an hour, Down a dead end street...
- Steve Grayson: [singing] Now they may take away your job, Take your fancy car, They may repossess your clothes, take that fine guitar, They may take everything you own, Well that's just for today, As long as you've got a song in your heart, Tomorrow's gonna be O.K., Hold your head up high, Oh you gotta be strong, Come on and sing, sing, sing, There ain't nothing like a song...
- Dumb Blonde: [laughing] That tickles! Silly!
- Kenny Donford: Oh, yes, but everything is perfect. The night, the mood and the girl. Oh, what a girl!
- Dumb Blonde: Oh, gee!
- Kenny Donford: Especially, the girl! She's moonlight and she's - she's - she's quicksilver and she's radiant and she's lovely and, most of all, she's desirable!
- Dumb Blonde: I think I better go. It's getting late.
- Dumb Blonde: I better go. You don't mind?
- Kenny Donford: Of course, I don't mind. Why I wouldn't even want you to stay here. Unless, you - wanted to. It must be a decision of your own free will and accord.
- Dumb Blonde: You're really very nice. Most fellows wouldn't be so considerate. They generally fight me!
- [Kenny proceeds to trick her into staying]
- Steve Grayson: [singing] Well lovin's all that I can give you.
- Susan Jacks: Baby that's enough.
- Steve Grayson: You ain't easy to satisfy.
- Susan Jacks: Baby I ain't that tough.
- Steve Grayson: Now, hey, little girl you're about the wildest thing I've ever seen.
- Susan Jacks: When I'm with you baby, I'm a lovin' machine!
- Steve Grayson: Come on and kiss me honey! Oh you gotta be strong, You gotta be strong,
- Steve Grayson, Susan Jacks: Come on and sing! Sing! There ain't nothing like a song...
