Sex & Nudity

  • The older daughters talk about affairs in one scene.
  • One of the older daughters is seen kissing her boyfriend. Her mother sees them out the window and it is obvious that she does not like it.
  • A high school boyfriend and girlfriend argue about going to a wild party; the girl says she's heard of parties like those and says he is a "sex maniac," and he responds that, if so, he must be a "frustrated sex maniac" given her "medieval" attitude towards his needs.
  • A woman takes a Playboy magazine away from her son. She hands him a novel to read.

Violence & Gore

  • After a wedding the mother's children begin throwing rice at the father's children. It is actually suppossed to be funny.
  • One of the younger sons gets into a fight in the classroom. In the next scene he has a black eye.
  • One of the daughters has a boyfriend who comes over at night. He and one of the older brothers fight. They punch and push each other across the room. It is a very brief scene and neither of them seems hurt.

Profanity

  • Two to three uses of "damn", and one "hell."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man invites a woman is over for dinner and to meet his eight children. The three oldest sons fix her and their father alcoholic drinks. Each of them adds alcohol to her drink. One adds gin, another adds vodka, and the other adds scotch. The woman soon becomes intoxicated and sick. The father finds out and makes his boys apologize to her.
