Funny series showcasing the brilliance of the much missed Beryl Reid
Sleepin_Dragon10 October 2015
This is the most insane off the wall comedy series i've seen. Lasting only one series of 6 episodes, I'd be sure it was on at an obscure time slot, a little overlooked. I think this show had some potential.

Marigold Alcock takes over the running of her husband's business after his death. The Alcock group consists of Mrs Alcock, her business partner and general employee Ernest. Each week the Alcock group expands, diversifies and turns its hand to a new venture, unsuccessfully. Sadly none of the three have a great deal of business acumen, disaster always follows.

It's not exactly laugh a minute comedy, but there are some great lines, ways delivered incredibly, there is something very appealing, maybe it's the sheer wonderfulness of Beryl Reid, you cannot help but smile watching her, she was so incredibly charismatic.

If I were to suggest an episode to test the water so to speak it would be Part 4, Pontoon, it is hilarious, some really funny one liners, Marigold singing down the radio is very funny.

Definitely worth a look. 8/10
