During the robbery, Howard is shown to send sweets down the hose both to Charlie and to Maren on two separate occasions [at the start and during the interruption by the Security Patrol]. The hose is connected to the vacuum unit in the truck at one end, and runs uninterrupted into the vault, so Howard would not have been able to introduce the sweets into the hose without fully retracting it first and then re-inserting it.
When Maren (Candace Bergen) and Howard (Charles Grodin) take the diamonds to Massey's (Trevor Howard) house after the theft, they zoom around the parking area outside the house while a couple of Massey's goons hang on the sides of the truck. The parking area is gravel, yet the truck tires squeal as if they were on a paved surface.
The nighttime scenes had either lighted background and skies or a dark blue sky. BUT the nighttime sky is NEVER blue, it is actually black. Obviously, these scenes were shot during daylight hours with a filter to darken the scenes. But such filters only darken the background and sky and never to the point that it actually does looks like it is night.
