Souvenirs perdus
dbdumonteil15 September 2008
Some kind of Christian-Jaque's "Souvenirs Perdus" revisited by some kind of neo-Nouvelle Vague style !A nightmare! And Bulle Ogier as the lead! A woman has just died .Her best friend is nosing about the stuff she left behind. She meets an old lover,a history teacher ,and ..well....There's also a wasted Bernard Giraudeau and his girlfriend, who have found an apartment and a bunch of youngsters ,who buy posters and stills of movies and actors...All this is supposed to be moving....like the new pictures at the end of the photo album.

Yannick Bellon came back to a more conventional, thus more accessible subject with her follow-up "L'Amour Violé" which was the first movie dealing with the harsh subject of rape in France(but a quarter of century after Ida Lupino's "Outrage" )."L'Amour Violé" remains Bellon's best film to date.
