A very lighthearted comedy
radlov27 September 1999
The hero, a succesful business man about 50 years of age, has no real problems in life("Pas de problème"). O.K., the capital of his business is the property of his wife. He also has a couple of kids and a mistress. His son of about 20 has borrowed his car and left a dead corpse in the boot of the car, which his father fails to notice when he takes back his car. Father, who is in the habit of trying to seduce every attractive female within reach, picks up a young lady, which however refuses to succumb to his charms ...until she accidentally looks into the boot of the car and sees the corpse!

This is a very lighthearted French comedy (Bible Beltians aware! This movie is NOT morally uplifting!). It is not a great movie, but quite entertaining.

There are some good gags. For instance, when the mistress runs into the holiday home of the wife and believes to shatter her entire existence by pronouncing the words "I am your husbands mistress!" To which the wife quietly replies. "Which one?"

Georges Lautner's filmography is composed of two different kinds of movies:the comedy "A La Française" ("IL Etait Une Fois Un FLic" "Quelques Messieurs Trop Tranquilles" "Ne Nous Fâchons Pas" ) and a handful of much more ambitious psychological thrillers ("Le Septième Juré" "La Maison Assassinée").

"Pas De Problème" falls in the first category but it's a good buoyant farce ,with a subject borrowed from Hitchcock ("The trouble with Harry" )and many others: the dead body you can't get rid of.Partly a road movie, from France to Switzerland ,this funny flick enjoys a good cast:Miou-Miou,Jean Lefèvre,Anny Duperey and even Patrick Dewaere as a barman.

A small and nice French comic movie. All actors and actresses come from the French comic comedy. Levebvre is one of the best French actor of the century. Guybet came to Paris to visit his daughter and he stayed there always for life. Menès is a liberation child, he participates at the 1968 new generation and he's considered in France as the king of poor movies. They don't mater to play looser on the movie, because that's the first element of this movie. A looser want to catch a girl, after a party they go back her home and they discover a body inside. He want to live directly but she refuse. Then he has no choose and he decide to install the body inside his parents car. A funny movie with good dialogs and excellent situations. That's a small budget movie anyways. http://gind2005.skyblog.com/
