Although this film was made for television, it was so acclaimed that it was subsequently released to theaters. The theatrical release includes a title card explaining the reasons for its re-release, and also features an additional love scene between
Jill Clayburgh and 'Peter Falk' in which Clayburgh briefly appears nude. (The nude scene, naturally, was absent from the original TV broadcast.)
