I really don't know whether to recommend this or not - it is impossible to find anywhere on DVD, I recorded a copy of abysmal quality many years ago off the French TV and I don't think it's been shown since ..... despite its appearances it's no light hearted affair... it's presented as flashback leading up till the death of the main protagonist, rather like Intersection or Les CHoses de la vie. It's about French bourgeois family life, the whole family has good breeding, but there are some skeletons in the family cupboard ! The death of the young lady left an acid taste in my mouth, for this reason I avoid watching the film too often but admit to having a curious fascination for it ...........
