The adult Kirrins are off on holiday to Malaga leaving affable Rogers in charge of the children, poor chap. It's not long before the chaos starts, first with a break in, then George goes missing in Raven's Wood.
With the help of a young girl called Jo and a rowing boat the gang are soon hot on the trail of missing cousin George. Will they all be back in time for tea and crumpets ? Will Rogers regret not going to Malaga ?
The children take an instant dislike to temporary housekeepers Mr and Mrs Stick and decide to camp out on George's island. The gang soon realise someone is already there. Meanwhile, let's hope the Sticks aren't emptying all the family crockery into a sack.
The Famous Five are staying at Tinker's Demons Rock lighthouse. They are intrigued when delightfully grizzle faced salty old sea dog Mr Boogle tells them a tale of wreckers' gold hidden in nearby caves.
Tinker's monkey has found a gold coin in the caves under the lighthouse. After Anne's sausage and beans lunch the kids set off to find the haul. Unfortunately they are not the only ones looking. To make things worse the tide is coming in.
A holiday in Cornwall gets off to a tame start but soon improves when Barnies Travelling Players decide to stay after their bus conks out in front of Penruthlan Farm. Anne sums it up - 'SUPER!'
The children tangle with some mystery pirates on the beach. Also, why is the Guv so on edge when the children play with Clopper the horse ? Our favourite half pint Sherlocks will need to put in extra sleuthing time on this one if they are to earn their ginger beer and pasties.
