Picking up where "Superman: The Movie" left off, three criminals, General Zod (Terence Stamp), Ursa, (Sarah Douglas), and Non (Jack O'Halloran) from the planet Krypton are released from the Phantom Zone by a nuclear explosion in space. Trivia In a 2004 interview, Margot Kidder claimed that Richard Donner shot enough scenes to make his own cut of the film, and that the unused footage was "somewhere in a vault." A website started a petition for Warner Bros. to allow and sponsor Donner's cut of this movie. The footage was re-edited into Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (1980). See more »
Goofs (at around 39 mins) When the boy at Niagara Falls begins to fall it takes approx. 28 seconds for Superman to catch him. Since the fall would have been only about 200 feet it would have taken the boy around 4 seconds to hit the water. See more »
