Lino Banfi stated that Paolo Villaggio totally ad-libbed the scene where he is dressed up as a Nazi nurse in the first episode.
Lino Banfi is the main character of the first episode, where Paolo Villaggio has got a minor role. On the contrary, in the second episode the main character is played by Villaggio with Banfi having a minor role.
Paolo (Paolo Villaggio), the main character of the second episode, has got many similarities with Villaggio's usual characters Giandomenico Fracchia and Ugo Fantozzi. Indeed, the episode is based on a novel about Ugo Fantozzi from the book Fantozzi contro tutti which wasn't adapted neither in the corresponding 1980 movie nor in other movies of the series.
The plane of the second episode is stated to be a 1915 Savoia-Marchetti. Actually it's a Corvair CV-440, produced between 1947 and 1956 (and so it couldn't have "crashed 12 times during the last two world wars" as stated by the narrator).
Although the second episode is based on a novel from Paolo Villaggio's book Fantozzi contro tutti (1979), the scene of the airplane is taken by another novel from the first book of the series, Fantozzi (1971), which wasn't adapted into the movie series. Some gags of this scene were reproposed in Le comiche 2 (1991), also directed by Neri Parenti and starring Paolo Villaggio.
