Storyline

Plot Summary

In the Victorian period, two teenagers, David and Sarah, travel with a caravan from Baghdad to Damascus. At an oasis, the white slave agent known as the Jackal raids them, mainly to add the beautiful young Sarah to his harem. Only David and Sarah narrowly escape, and all the others are slayed in the massacre. Their flight leads them to a beautiful oasis - their paradise - where they discover love and sex. However, the Jackal has not given up on Sarah yet, and David must lure him to his death, or be killed by him. Written by Tom Zoerner

Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia Actor Willie Aames has stated in an interview that the love scenes were more explicit in the version that he and Phoebe Cates were shown for approval. During production, Cates and Aames decided that the picture did not require the amount of nudity that had been written into the script. She turned 18 ten months prior to release. So it is very questionable on her age at the time of filming the nude scenes. See more »
Goofs Though the story is set back in 1823 and they're hiding in an oasis in the Middle East, Sarah has shaved legs and armpits. See more »

Quotes David: My father told me it was wrong to look upon nakedness.
Sarah: Well, Adam and Eve were naked.
David: They were not, they wore leaves! Big ones.
Sarah: How do you know, were you there?
David: No, but I've seen lots of pictures in churches and they always wore leaves.
