Yves Boisset sued Twentieth Century Fox for copycat because of the movie The Running Man (1987), starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, which the screenplay was exactly the same as his own film. Some documents of the case were lost in a plane crash in the New York bay.
Running Man, made in 1988, was not actually a disguised remake nor a plagiarism of Le Prix Du Danger, because really inspired from a Stephen King's book, whilst Le Prix Du Danger was adapted from a Robert Scheckley's novel, which the topic was close to the King's book. So both films had their own source novel, close to each other.
