Plot Summary

Billy is a bricklayer in a small town from Provence .He has always seemed to have a job finding someone to settle down with.He eventually marries Nina ,even though he does not love her passionately;just after the wedding party ,he meets Viviane ,whose husband walked down on her ,leaving her with a child .It's love at first sight ......But the woman does not want a lasting affair:after a night of love,she returns to Paris where she takes refuge in her parents' house,and meets up with her husband again .Billy is desperate .His father-in-law fetches him .He agrees to return to his wife who waits for him with their child.
