Plot Summary

At Dream Castle, the Little Ponies are preparing a festival to celebrate the first day of spring. From the Volcano of Gloom, the evil witch Hydia watches the event via her cauldron and disgusted by the frivolity, tells her two daughters, Draggle and Reeka, that they must ruin it. Draggle and Reeka are inexperienced at causing mischief and fail utterly at ruining the festival. They return to the Volcano of Gloom in disgrace, where Hydia presents a better plan - they will the make Smooze. Draggle and Reeka collect a series of disgusting ingredients, but neglect to obtain the Phlume, the prospect of which terrifies them. The spell seems to work regardless, creating a pool of sentient purple ooze that gleefully buries Ponyland. Written by Anthony Pereyra {hypersonic91@yahoo.com}

Edit
Trivia The movie became a critical and financial bomb during its theatrical run, grossing only an estimated $6 million worldwide against a budget of $5.5 million. Combined with the failure of The Transformers: The Movie (1986), this convinced the studio to cancel the theatrical animated movie Jem and the Holograms, while G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987) was pushed direct to video. See more »
Goofs The group who set out for Flutter Valley are chased by Ahhg the giant spider after tickling him and slipping away unnoticed. As they make a dash towards a nearby cliff, Gingerbread and Baby Lickety Split have somehow joined the group, but Baby Lickety Split should be with the Grundles and Spike, and Gingerbread should be back at Paradise Estate.
