Not Bad

What do you have against this movie?! It's a hell lot better than most of the movies today... Gina is quite good looking to and Omar Sharif makes a really good play.

Over acting by Marilu Henner, surprised to see a good actor like Omar Sharif in this dog.

She's learning a job that can get her killed via VCR from her dead dad but of course we're supposed to believe she is highly capable of this despite no experience. She repeatedly fails but everyone just ignores it & says great job.

Somehow she learns advanced horse skills without them showing how she learned it. If she didn't have a Bruce Lee driver, she would have died. Galloping on a horse on concrete & somehow goes faster than a vehicle, I'll buy that for a $1 in unrealistic BS Alex.

Hard to believe the propping up of F has been happening for so many years, even clear back in 1987. As of today, it's still going on in movies & M are the problem? It's just embarrassing what Hollywood will do to brainwash the naive.

It would be one thing if she were a nice person & everyone wanted to help, instead she's bossy & rude, yet everyone still loves her, give me a break. This is the script that Hallmark uses in almost every movie.

A Father's Legacy

Warning: Spoilers
Once again, I must admit from the beginning that, as a Louis Jourdan completest, I own this film and have watched it several times. It is charming, touching, and emotional. Louis Jourdan portrays Charles Grand, whose daughter Freddy (Marilu Henner) returns to his estate after his death. How does he appear? In video tapes he made for Freddy in which he schools her in how to expertly take over his job as a master thief who had worked for an insurance company to recover stolen property. What Freddy doesn't realize is that the "job" she is sent on is really a test and that the participants were in on it with Charles Grand. The best and most valuable lesson Freddy learns, however, is about her father. After being away from him for almost two decades, she comes to know him via the the video tapes--and to love him. Is this the best film ever made? No. It is not the worst, either. It is a heartwarming story that reminds us that it really is never too late.
