In the German translation everyone talks about retrieving a "floppy disk", while it's clearly a CD-ROM.
In the German version Thomas Danneberg dubbed Lewis Collins and therefore himself had to be dubbed by another actor, Rainer Brandt.
This film came about because director Antonio Margheriti had a lot of alternative camera angles and deleted scenes from his two earlier mercenary based action films, Codename: Wild Geese (1984) and Commando Leopard (1985). Realizing he could make a new movie relatively inexpensively and quickly by incorporating that footage into a new story he cobbled together a script to utilize it. To link it all together he filmed some new additional scenes using Lewis Collins and Lee Van Cleef (as different characters this time), With the addition of a few new faces he was able to fashion a new story. In the space of about a month. Using careful editing Margheriti was able to make this film. At least a third of it was cannibalized from the unused footage from the two previous unrelated movies.
Some model shots of silos from Code Name: Wild Geese (1984) are reused with new sequences shot on the same location for this film - this location and the use of a flamethrower are a reference to the earlier film which had many of the same personnel.
Released straight to video rental in the UK.
