Plot Summary

A writer of BAD detective novels is in full writers' block. He pretends to be the alibi of a beautiful woman who was arrested for murder at first thinking her innocent, but as she shows more and more interesting abilities (such as knife throwing) he begins to doubt his first assessment. He is still falling for her, but more and more nervous as time passes, and there are more close calls with death on his part. Written by John Vogel

Trivia Lead actors Tom Selleck and Paulina Porizkova had such a bad time on this movie that by the time filming ended, they refused to be in the same room with each other. To make the ad poster for the film, director Bruce Beresford had to photo shoot them both separately, and digitally combine the two photos using Paintbox software, so that it looked like Selleck was standing behind Porizkova with his arms around her.
