I am dead sure that this movie was inspired - more or less - by Ridley Scott's DUELLISTS. First, it takes place in a period not so far from Scott's first feature - Napoleonic wars - and it is also question of vengeance, duel, honor, manhood.... And it is not less interesting for me. This movie LA SOULE is a real underrated gem that really deserves to be seen at all costs. It is so surprising and also a shame that it has not been commented yet. I guess it was hardly released in the US or any other country. During the eighties era you had many of those rare and offbeat plots. So please try to catch it, it is available on Amazon France.
