Mediocre Action movie
Genkinchan16 June 2022
The only thing worth watching is the villain played by Shum Wei and also the actor Lam Wei as Andy Lau broth. Quite mediocre story line although the movie is packed with action is all quite predictable.

Classic HK action drama well worth seeing!
Movie-Misfit8 July 2014
The incredible, and always handsome Andy Lau delivers an incredible performance as an immigrant from China landing in Hong Kong to quickly climb the ranks for one of the local big triad bosses.

Yes it may sound the same as most other HK triad drama's, but this is one of 1989's finest!

Not only is it filled with great stars and performances from all (especially the great Chan Wai Man), the action is often and realistic, and the twists are heart wrenching! Really. I don't want to give anything away, but it is just worth the watch for these alone.

Dark and broody, Bloody Brotherhood is a forgotten classic that shows how much more Hong Kong cinema was better than Hollywood at delivering some powerful movies!
