A new full trailer has been released for the Luc Besson produced heist thriller Möbius. I enjoy watching heist films, and this looks like it's going to be a good one. The story takes place in Monaco, is set in the world of high finance, and follows an Fsb officer who falls in love with his agent, an American woman who works as a trader in a Russian bank. The movie stars Jean Dujardin (The Artist) as "an experienced spy tracking a powerful Russian oligarch," Tim Roth plays a man "suspected of laundering money through his bank," and Cécile de France takes on the role of "a bright young trader."
The film was written and directed by Eric Rochant (Love Without Pity, Long Live the Republic, "Mafiosa"). Mobius definitely looks like an intriguing film that I'd enjoy watching. There's no release date set yet for the U.S., but it...

An interesting Inception-like teaser trailer has hit the internet for a heist thriller called Mobius. One of the most interesting aspects of the film is that it's based on the Möbius strip idea developed by German mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius. The Möbius Strip is described a "a non-orientable two-dimensional surface with only one side when embedded in three-dimensional Euclidean space." You can read more about it here.

As "The Artist" star Jean Dujardin prepares to make strides into Hollywood with roles in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf Of Wall Street" and George Clooney's "The Momuments Men," he's got a nifty little thriller on the way that looks very, very promising. Dare we even say "Inception"-esque? First reported earlier this year, Dujardin co-stars with Tim Roth and "The Kid With The Bike" and "Hereafter" actress Cecile De France in "Mobius" and this first teaser for the movie is certainly unexpected and exciting. Opening with an eerie explanation of what a mobius strip is, with a very Hans Zimmer-esque score, and followed by a title treatment that recalls Christopher Nolan's hit, this one still stands out as something potentially unique. Written and directed by Eric Rochant (“Love Without Pity”), the picture is set in the high-stakes financial world, and follows a spy tracking down a Russian.

As Harvey Weinstein crawls on hands and knees up the Croisette, searching desperately for the next film to equal the success of last year’s golden child, “The Artist,” it can be hard to recall just how unique and singular the film seemed when first shown at Cannes, before its subsequent release and obnoxious awards season buzz. The plain fact is, director Michel Hazanavicius & Co. made a tremendous film, and today news has sprung up that the cast and crew will continue to pursue interesting projects, ones that find them in a distinctly different environment than before.
Jean Dujardin’s dazzling smile and comic chops largely dominated “Artist” discussion, but really it was actress Berenice Bejo who truly grounded the film with an emotional center, oftentimes playing the straight performer but owning some fine comic moments herself. She then broke men’s hearts everywhere with news that she was married to Hazanavicius,...

One of the many actors to come out of 2011 with a lot of buzz is Frenchman Jean Dujardin, who starred in Michel Hazanavicius' B&W silent film The Artist as George Valentin. He does an extraordinary job and I'm glad to see him continue taking on all the roles he wants. While this was first reported last year by Variety, over on EW.com they're now confirming (in the middle of all the awards buzz) that Jean Dujardin will next be starring in a film called Möbius, from French director Eric Rochant (Love Without Pity, Long Live the Republic, "Mafiosa"). He'll play an "experienced intelligence officer" and return to Europe to shoot. The film, Möbius, being written and directed by Eric Rochant, will star Jean Dujardin and Belgian actress Cécile de France. Set in Monte Carlo (where they will also be shooting most of this), in the world of high finance,...
