Kent Mccord and Martin Milner make a great reunion movie along with the great John Terlesky

I have been wanting to see this movie for years because I am such a fan of Kent Mccord and Martin Milner from Adam-12. I also found out John Terlesky got third billing and he plays a major part in the film. It was a really good TV movie about cops in Nashville. John Terlesky plays the cop that goes undercover during a drug bust. There is a real nice scene near the end where a jukebox is playing "Poor Little Fool" by Rick Nelson. Kent Mccord was close friends with Rick since the Ozzie & Harriet days. I am sure that was his way of playing tribute to his friend. I really enjoyed that part and I enjoyed the whole film. I would highly recommend this film to any fan of the above actors.

Great Reunion for Milner & McCord...plus Garth Brooks!
stargazer248 June 2001
Nashville Beat, made 14 years after Adam-12 went off the air, is a great reunion movie for its two stars, Martin Milner and Kent McCord. In fact, their characters even resemble Reed and Malloy. They started in the LAPD, O'Neal (Milner) training Delany (McCord) in a patrol car and they later became good friends. They could have easily been Reed and Malloy. Except that now Milner is the happily married guy who'll eat anything and McCord is the single picky eater. Role switch.

This movie has your typical southern stereotypes (the Sergeant's a beer drinking egotist named Stick and another guy on the force is named Bubba!), there's plenty of country music (an early appearance by Garth Brooks is a treat!) and the gang members look like they came out of a rap video, but it all works here. And the police action is great just like it was in Adam-12, only this time they're a captain and a lieutenant and in plainclothes.

Anyone who's a fan of Milner, McCord, Adam-12, or police movies will like this (if you can get ahold of it). Plus, you get to see Marty and Kent sing!

Great reunion movie.

I loved Adam 12 as a kid and I just got done watching all 7 seasons again. I can still remember 8 years ago when Martin passed away. I knew I would be sad when I got to the last episode of season 7. I think they both enjoyed making that movie together. They both represented the Los Angela's police department with honor. I am sure they were a big influence for me to follow in their footsteps into law enforcement for 27 and a 1/2 years myself. Watching them performed their duties made me become the police officer I was, to be compassionate at those times needed. But also to not be dirty and proud every time I put my uniform on.
