Netflix is ready to tee off with Will Ferrell.
In his first scripted TV comedy series, Ferrell will star in a scripted comedy series titled Golf. The streamer has picked up 10 episodes of the series, which is co-created by Ferrell, Ramy Youssef — who will also have an onscreen role — and Josh Rabinowitz (Babes, Ramy, The Carmichael Show).
In Golf, Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend. Details on Youssef’s part are being kept under wraps though sources say the show isn’t a two-hander. (Netflix also stresses that Golf should be capitalized, though it’s unclear if it’s an acronym.)
Youssef and Rabinowitz, who previously teamed for Hulu’s critically praised comedy Ramy, will serve as showrunners and exec produce Golf alongside Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Leanne Morgan’s current tour is called Just Getting Started, and the 58-year-old comedian is living up to that with a comedy series and two more specials at Netflix. The streamer has given a 16-episode order to an untitled multi-cam sitcom, headlined by Morgan in her TV acting debut and executive produced by top comedy showrunner Chuck Lorre. Additionally, Netflix has picked up two more stand-up specials from Morgan following the success of her first one, the 2023 Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman.
Co-created by Morgan, Lorre and Susan McMartin, the Untitled Leanne Morgan Project will follow Leanne whose life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family, she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad.

As comedian Will Ferrell walked across the magnificent stage of The Kennedy Center to accept the greatest honor an America funny person can receive, The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, something happened that made us all remember why he is getting this prestigious honor. The award instantly slipped from Will’s hilarious fingers, shattering this legendary humorist’s bust all over the floor. An obvious gag, that was so damn fitting to what Will represents in the history of the art of doing silly stuff. Without breaking character for a second, Will hilariously tries to pick up the pieces as the world just sat back and laughed… but not laughing at him, we were laughing with him. The appeal of Will Ferrell comes from his innocent “I don’t give a f*ck” attitude that elevates simple stupid jokes to performance art. As Mr. Ferrell once said, “What I...

The last time Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen were co-workers was early in 2011, when the producer-actor duo were in the middle of making the eighth season of the CBS smash hit comedy Two and a Half Men. Sheen’s addiction problems flared up again, landing him in the hospital, then in rehab, and then giving a series of incendiary interviews — notably one with Alex Jones where Sheen derisively called his boss “Chaim Levine” (Lorre’s birth name is Charles Levine). Sheen was eventually fired from the show, and his character,...

Kim Kardashian is embracing developing her acting chops in the newest season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story.”
“Anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star said in a behind-the-scenes teaser for the upcoming FX series’ latest season, subtitled “Delicate.” “Then you just kinda release and have fun.”
“American Horror Story: Delicate,” which premieres Wednesday, centers on actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts) who struggles with multiple failed attempts of IVF to achieve her dream of starting a family. “As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her — and her pursuit of motherhood,” according to the official logline.

The first trailer for “American Horror Story: Delicate” has arrived, and Kim Kardashian is demanding to know which is more important: an Oscar or a baby?
“Do you want an Oscar? Do you want it as much as a baby?” Kardashian’s Siobhan Walsh asks Emma Roberts’ Anna Victoria Alcott.
Though “American Horror Story” Season 12 has already released several unsettling and stylized teasers, this clip is the first look into what this new season is about. Based on Danielle Valentine’s book “Delicate Condition” and showrun by playwright Halley Feiffer (“I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard”), fans already knew this season would center around a Hollywood star who’s desperate to have a child. But as she gets further and further down the path of motherhood, she starts to believe several people are trying to stop her from having this baby, including her own husband.

“American Horror Story” fans finally have their first look at series newcomers Kim Kardashian and Cara Delevingne in Season 12 thanks to the first teaser for “AHS: Delicate.”
At less than 30 seconds long, the FX teaser doesn’t share much about the show, though it’s clear that this season will have something to do with children and motherhood. The video shows three stars donned in bright white wigs removing their glasses: series alum Emma Roberts, model Cara Delevingne and reality star, socialite and model Kim Kardashian. In between these glamorous revelations, groups of women with long white hair ritualistically dance and a cradle ominously moves as “Rock-a-bye Baby” plays.
At the moment, there is no release date for this new season. The teaser only reveals that it will be coming soon.

Sctv alum Dave Thomas has teamed with actor and son Harrison Thomas to develop the dark comedy The Orange for the CBC and BBC Studios.
The father-son sitcom, produced by Canada’s Project 10 Productions, follows a family that witnesses a gangland bombing and is placed by The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in a witness protection program in Rye, England. Only when they reach their new U.K. home does the family realize the Mounties have been dumping all their witnesses and informants in Rye, including Canada’s most hardened criminals who are now their next-door neighbors.
Canadian comic and actor Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis played Sctv‘s and Saturday Night Live’s beer-loving McKenzie brothers during the 1980s. Their act, which was launched to mock government mandated Canadian TV content rules, was spun off into the 1983 cult comedy Strange Brew, and that year also made the late-night transition stateside to SNL.

Cole Sprouse began acting when he was 6 months old and has been in the public eye ever since. While his roles came with some hefty paychecks, Sprouse also gave up a lot. Now, Sprouse is saying that he “pretty much lost everything” he made from his early roles because of his mom.
Cole Sprouse’s early career
Cole Sprouse entered the world of acting alongside his identical twin brother, Dylan. The two shared almost all of their roles.
According to IMDb, the actor, with his brother, portrayed Patrick Kelly on the television series Grace Under Fire from 1993 to 1998. Soon after that, they appeared on the big screen with Adam Sandler in the hit movie Big Daddy.
Fans will definitely recognize Sprouse as Ben Geller, the son of Ross and his ex-wife Carol on Friends, another role that was shared with his twin. They also had a part in the movie The Astronaut’s Wife.

Cole Sprouse has claimed that Hollywood “encourages the worst qualities” in actors.
The Riverdale star made his screen debut in commercials as a baby, before starring in the sitcom Grace Under Fire alongside his twin brother Dylan when they were both toddlers.
Appearing on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Sprouse opened up about his youth spent as a child star and said that many young actors got into the industry to “put food on the table”.
“I think the pressure of my upbringing really compelled me to keep doing what I am today,” he told host Steven Bartlett.
“I cannot live without the arts… without performance or expression of some kind, because truly it’s all I know and have known since I was eight months old.”
Sprouse said that he “loved being on stage” growing up, but added that he “didn’t like the s*** that came with it”.

TV stars can’t always demand the kind of high-paying gigs entertainers receive for movies. This is even more true when it comes to child actors. However, in some cases, breakout stars are able to negotiate paydays that make their peers jealous. Cole and Dylan Sprouse, the titular stars of the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, certainly qualify.
Cole and Dylan Sprouse starred on ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ from 2005 to 2008
On the show, the young actors — who broke through on TV’s Grace Under Fire and the 1999 film Big Daddy — play Zack and Cody Martin. The twin brothers live in a suite at Boston’s Tipton Hotel.
With the show primarily set within the hotel, Zack and Cody get into all manner of mischief with other kids, often with the twins going up against hotel manager Mr. Moseby (Phil Lewis). Cole and Dylan Sprouse,...

The ‘90s comedy Grace Under Fire followed a family much more hardscrabble than that of Home Improvement, the sitcom it was initially paired with on ABC. The show, created by Chuck Lorre, starred Brett Butler as Grace Kelly, a single mom raising three kids, while recovering from alcoholism and an abusive marriage, with the support of her colleagues and neighbors in the fictional town of Victory, Missouri. Unfortunately, Butler was struggling with addiction in real life, dealing with Vicodin abuse off-screen. And after a curtailed fifth season, a ratings downfall, and plenty of behind-the-scenes tumult, ABC pulled the plug in 1998. “At the bloody, bitter end, I really was difficult,” Butler told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021. “I was out of my mind. Drugs will do that to you. The show should have been pulled sooner than it was.” Nevertheless, the show started off a big hit with viewers, ranking as the...

The series starred, of course, Charlie Sheen, then one of the highest-paid actors on TV, before he was fired in 2011 after publicly attacking Lorre, launching antisemitic insults and calling him a “turd” and a “clown.”
The script, obtained by THR, is dated June 15, 2022. According to a source, Lorre shopped it around town but didn’t set it up — though there’s little doubt it dropped a few jaws with its raucous, no-holds-barred account of what (possibly?) went on behind the scenes.

HBO Max has given an eight-episode straight-to-series order to How To Be a Bookie, the first comedy for the streamer from one of Warner Bros. Television’s top showrunners, Chuck Lorre, co-creator/exec producer of HBO Max’s most watched off-network series, The Big Bang Theory. Actor-comedian Sebastian Maniscalco (The Irishman) is set to star in the single-camera series, which Lorre is co-writing with one of his close associates over the past decade, Nick Bakay. New York, Feb 2 (Ians) Antarctic ice is melting, contributing massive amounts of water to the world's seas and causing them to rise, but that melt is not as linear and consistent as scientists previously thought, a new study suggests.
The analysis, of 20 years' worth of satellite data, shows that Antarctica's ice melts at different rates each year, meaning the models scientists use to predict coming sea level rise might also need adjusting.
"The ice sheet is not changing with a constant rate -- it's more complicated than a linear change," said lead author Lei Wang, Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University in the US.
The study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, is built on data from NASA's Grace (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment), a two-satellite mission that measures changes in the world's oceans, ground water and ice sheets.

Netflix is closing the book on On My Block.
The streamer on Friday announced a 10-episode fourth season order for the hit comedy, which was named one of the streamer's most-binged series a few years back.
10 episodes mean that it will have two more episodes than On My Block Season 4, but this is perhaps to help close the series out.
News of the renewal was expected, but given that the third season dropped on Netflix almost a year ago, and the way that Netflix has been canceling previously renewed shows, its fate was very much up in the air.
Stars Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Diego Tinoco, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Julio Macias will all return for the last-ever season.
The cast of On My Block negotiated pay rises ahead of production on the third season, which included terms should the show be renewed for a fifth season.

ABC has ordered the single-camera comedy “Home Economics” to series.
The series will air on the broadcast network in Spring 2021. The show was originally developed as part of the 2020 pilot season. Following the production shutdown caused by the pandemic, ABC announced in June that it planned to film a number of its pilots — including “Home Economics” — later in the year.
The series is inspired by the life of co-creator Michael Colton. It examines the relationship between three adult siblings: one in the 1 percent, one middle-class, and one barely holding on.
Along with Grace, the series stars Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Tatro, Karla Souza, and Sasheer Zamata. Shiloh Bearman, Jordyn Curet, Chloe Jo Rountree and JeCobi Swain also star.
“Home Economics” was written and executive produced by Colton and John Aboud. Grace executive produces in addition to starring, along with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum of The Tannenbaum Company. Jason Wang of The Tannenbaum Company will co-executive produce.

Warren Berlinger, a busy character actor whose numerous roles made him one of TV’s most familiar faces from the Kraft Theatre golden age through the Grace and Frankie streaming era, died Wednesday at the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California. He was 83.
His death was confirmed by daughter Elizabeth. A cause has not been announced.
With a cherubic face that could seem simultaneously amiable and, along with the hint of an accent from his native Brooklyn, mischievous, Berlinger was a go-to actor for supporting and sidekick roles for decades, both in film, and television.
