Disney has announced that three previously untitled live-action movies slated for 2022, 2024 and 2026 will be new, untitled “Star Wars” films.

Television is a very crowded landscape, and it’s often difficult for a truly original idea to emerge. With reboot culture being a (not necessarily) huge thing these days, creators should be applauded for trying something new. One relatively untapped angle is that of social media celebrity, and it seems that television is finally ready to make that transition. Among the first of plenty of social media-based series in development to make its debut is Haters Back Off!, Netflix’s foray that tells the story of Miranda Sings, a creation by Internet-famous Colleen Ballinger, who stars in the new series. Miranda is a completely

It wasn’t long ago that Bridgit Mendler was one of the biggest up and coming pop artists in the game. The Disney Channel actress-turned-solo artist had a crazy amount of star potential when she released her debut solo album, Hello My Name Is…, back in 2012. Supported by the success of her single, “Ready or Not,” Mendler had it all, but there wasn’t much happening on the music end after the record, and eventually, she left Hollywood Records. Now, Mendler is finally getting the wheels turning on new material and just released the music video for her new single, “Atlantis.”
The artist is near unrecognizable on the “Atlantis” track, as it’s nowhere near the bubblegum hooks everyone was used to years ago. However, she has obviously grown as a songwriter, and “Atlantis” proves that immensely, as the song is mellow and beat-centric with an atmospheric chorus. Mendler is...

Try as I might, I doubt I’ll ever be able to purge the image of Bonnie Bennett beheading Caroline Forbes from my memory.
Fortunately, that disturbing dismemberment was merely a dream sequence, one of several Bonnie experienced as she struggled to fight Rayna’s curse on Friday’s Vampire Diaries. Caroline and Enzo each gave it their best shot, entering Bonnie’s brain to locate the curse’s off switch, but neither achieved much success.

ITV's Midwinter Of The Spirit heads into its ultimate good vs evil showdown with a fast-paced barnstormer of a finale...

“You are not ready! Spiritually, or mentally!” yells Rev. Huw Owens (David Threlfall) midway through the final fifty-minute instalment of Midwinter Of The Spirit. If you’ve made it this far into the three-parter, you’ve already been spiritually and mentally tested with a crucifixion murder, the desecration of a local church, and lots – and lots – of character cigarette breaks. You’re ready for a finale of heel-face turns, shocks, and jittery SFX that look like nicotine withdrawal. But us viewers aren’t the yell-ees for Huw – that’s Merrily Watkins (Anna Maxwell-Martin) he’s shouting at, still swaying from her daughter (Sally Messham) having pissed off with a Satanic restaurateur (Siobhan Finneran) at the end of the previous episode, plus that pesky demonic possession thing...

What do you do after you've had giant robots riding other giant dinosaur robots into battle? Space. Are you ready for more robots in disguise? Ready or not, here they come – and in full force, too. Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures created a writers room to tackle the issue of how to best move forward with their profoundly lucrative, but critically reviled “Transformers” franchise. It seems they have cracked the code with Akiva Goldsman (“I Am Legend”,” A Beautiful Mind”) set to pen “Transformers 5;” which will see Michael Bay return to the directing chair and Mark Wahlberg reprise his role as scrappy inventor Cade Yaeger from “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” which earned over $1 billion at the box office. It remains to be seen if Wahlberg’s “Age of Extinction” co-stars Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor will join in this next adventure. Meanwhile, fans will be seeing the oft-discussed Transformers in space movie after all,...

I don’t think anyone would mistake So You Think You Can Dance‘s 12th season as its strongest — aside from viewers who were trapped in some sort of Footloose-esque, no-grooving-allowed nightmare for its first 11.
But while the Great Stage-Vs.-Street/Jason Derulo-Vs.-Descriptive-Adjectives Experiment of 2015 lacked something in diversity (whatever happened to ballroom and disco?), gut-busting emotional concepts (what I wouldn’t have given for one routine on par with “Addiction Dance“) and insightful critique (Mary Murphy and Misty Copeland, I missed you!), I’d be lying if I said summer TV still wasn’t the better for it.

Just the other day we got our first taste of the action in the inaugural trailer, and now Warner Bros. is back with a new featurette that delves into the stunts, extreme sports, and general daredevilry we.ll see in the finished film. The first thing you see in this video is a collection of silhouettes lining the windswept ridge of jagged mountain as a voice asks, "Is this radical enough for you?" And what follows certainly attempts to push the boundaries of what qualifies as extreme when it comes to this type of cinematic action. As you can see in this footage, they really went all out.
